Why shouldn't you be allowed to drink at age 18, if you can do all the following?

If you can fight and die for your country. It is mandatory for all men at the age 18 to register with the draft board. Your also considered as an adult to live on your own. You can get car loans and house loans. You can also vote why not be able to have the say if you can have a drink or not.

I do not think the drinking age should be lowered. Young adults at the age of 18 have many other things to worry about other than drinking and the effects from it.

Your issue was good. The drinking age should be lowered to 18. At 18 your an adult and can make your own decisions.

I agree that it should be lowered because at 18 you are considered an adult and can make your own decisions so why can’t you make the decision to drink.

I read in a newspaper that at the age of 18 years old the brain is still developing. Alcohol can affect it in many ways. Here lately teenagers are the ones dying in accidents associated with alcohol. I think there needs to be more money spent in education instead of lowering the drinking age. I think 21 is a good age.

I think the drinking age should be lowered. If a younger man or woman can go fight and die for their country or vote they should be allowed to drink. Also in a comment posted earlier that young people have been killed in accidents due to drinking and driving. Driking and driving is not the issue here, I see accidents but do drinking and driving all the time and i would say less than 1% are to underage drivers. Its the parents and education to being up responsible adults age should have no factor.
Very good Job.

I Do Not Believe that the Drinking age should be lowered. In Defence to my Statement, I was once a 18yr and I Realize how "FUN" and how "Cool" It was to be drinking underage. But With that There was alot of responisbilities that In My Opionion These Individuals Do not have the No how and the Status shall I Say to Be Responsible to Fullfil them.

NO NO NO! At 18, the maturity level is not there. Hell, at 21, the maturity level is not there. As far as fighting in a war, that is voluntary, they decided to sign up, and they know/knew the risk associated with that. Every day, if you watch the news, you hear of another death, stemming from underage drinking. We all remember back just a few months ago, when that reality hit close to home, when those 5 teenage girls lost their lives...a sad and tragic day, but definetly an eye opener, that teens have no business being able to purchase alcohol.
